The lead singer of the country band, Backroad Anthem, is missing after braving Winter Storm Goliath with a friend to go duck hunting in Oklahoma.
Just minutes before Craig Strickland and his friend, Chase, a 22-year-old from Arkansas, set out on their boat, Chase sent out a haunting tweet no one believed would come true.

A search for Craig and Chase Morland began on December 28, after their families hadn’t heard from the two men in over 24 hours, E! News reports.

Later that night, the country singer’s wife, Helen, posted an update on Twitter saying his dog, Sam, was found alive, but that their boat was found capsized in Kaw Lake.
Craig's dog Sam has been found. His boat has been confirmed as being capsized. They are still searching for Craig. Please keep praying.

In early morning hour of December 29, it was reported that Chase’s body had been found in Kaw Lake. He was deceased. Craig, however, is still missing.
According to a spokesperson from the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety, neither Craig nor Chase were using floatation devices.
Winter Storm Goliath continues to reek havoc, resulting in 43 deaths across the United States as of Monday afternoon.
